The Holiday Bikini – The Method
WThis is an easy version of a beverage featured on our latest cocktail list. Designed as a batch pre-mixed that's packed with the essence of a festive period, making it perfect for your celebration. Save the extra syrup you can use for morning drinks, sweets, or for additional servings of the drink.
The Bikini Cocktail
Serves 10 servings
Ingredients for the Clementine Cordial (makes 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
For the Premix (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
To prepare the Cordial: Put the listed ingredients inside a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, stirring to dissolve. Then, turn off the heat and let it to cool entirely. Transfer to a sealable bottle, cap it keeping it chilled, it will last for around a month.
For the Batch Mix: Pour all the liquids into one large bottle, leave to sit for an hour, then strain , ideally through a fine cloth, making it fully clarified.
When ready to serve: Pour 85ml of your premix to a stirring glass containing ice, gently stirring gently for about 60 seconds to chill. Pour to a chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, top with the cranberries and complete it with a quick spritz with the mandarin essence above the glass.
